Avis Chauffeur Drive by WeDriveU Chauffeur Service is a partnership between Avis Rent a Car and WeDriveU. The customer rents the Avis car and uses a WeDriveU chauffeur as needed.

Q: What are the benefits for customers?
This exclusive new service adds a new level of convenience and productivity to both business and leisure travel. It also offers about 35% savings over car and driver services for full day use.

Q: What types of customers use this service?
Avis Chauffeur Drive appeals to business and leisure travelers. From a day of back-to-back meetings in New York to three days (more than 20 hours) of sales meetings in Detroit and even a day in California's wine country, customers praise this new way to get around in a rental vehicle.

Avis Preferred customers can now reserve a professional WeDriveU chauffeur to operate the Avis vehicle of the customer’s choice.

Q: What services are included?
The chauffeur can pick up the Avis rental car for the customer and meet you wherever desired including airline baggage claim or curbside loading zones for airport arrivals (as you exit customs for international arrivals), your hotel, business meeting or entertainment venue. Q: Is there a minimum rental period?
Chauffeur reservations require a minimum of three consecutive hours of service. Customers rent an Avis vehicle for day or multiple days and use a WeDriveU chauffeur during the entire rental period or as needed. Q: What is the experience level of WeDriveU chauffeurs?
All WeDriveU chauffeurs are over 25 years of age and are certified through an extensive process that includes a driving record check, substance abuse test and criminal background check as well as professional chauffeur training. Click here for more on the qualifications of WeDriveU chauffeurs.

To make a reservation, customers should call 1-800-272-5839 at least 24 hours prior to rental pickup time. Q: What automobile insurance is required to use Avis Chauffeur Drive by WeDriveU?
Since the customer rents the car, the customer provides minimum liability limits of $250,000 bodily injury each person / $500,000 each accident, $50,000 property damage, collision and comprehensive coverage. Customers can purchase Additional Liability Insurance (ALI) and Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) from Avis to meet the insurance requirements. International inbound customers must purchase ALI and LDW from Avis to use Chauffeur Drive by WeDriveU.

Q: What insurance does WeDriveU provide?
WeDriveU provides General Liability ($5 million); Workers’ Compensation (Statutory); Employer’s Liability ($1 million); Automobile Liability ($2 million); Professional Liability ($1 million) and Fidelity ($1 million).

Q: How are customers billed?
Customers using Avis Chauffeur Drive by WeDriveU will be billed separately for the driver charges by WeDriveU and may pay by credit card or invoice. International inbound customers may pay for their chauffeur by credit card. The customer receives a receipt for the Avis vehicle rental charges directly from Avis via email.

Q: What if the customer requires special security services?
For customers with special security needs, WeDriveU can also provide a chauffeur with law enforcement experience and tailor their ground transportation plan as needed.
