Bay Area Bike to Work Day Warm-Up

Bay Area Bike to Work Day Warm-Up

WeDriveU attended Monday’s bike forum sponsored by Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and Joint Venture Silicon ValleyThe event was held at LinkedIn’s Sunnyvale, California campus, where our team is often spotted riding bikes and shuttles around while they’re coordinating the RideIn commuter program.

The forum was timely as many of WeDriveU’s Bay Area clients are counting down to Bay Area Bike to Work Day (#BTWD) on May 11, 2017 (get involved!).

Experts from the Dutch Cycling Embassy discussed how they are reinventing The Netherlands’ landscape by overcoming policy and planning challenges. They shared insights on turning Amsterdam into “one of the greatest biking communities in the world” – an effort sure to inspire the vision of SVBC and JVSV to transform Silicon Valley into America’s biking capital.

Special thanks to Shiloh Ballard and Ihuipapalli Lopez from Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, pictured here with Danielle Glaser (center) from WeDriveU’s team at LinkedIn.

From bike rack equipped shuttles to bike sharing and related amenities, we think it’s fantastic that our clients encourage bicycling among their commute alternatives. We’re proud to support SVBC and JVSV in their mission to create “a healthy community, environment, and economy through bicycling for people who live, work, or play in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.”

Save the date! Learn more about employer bike programs this summer at the 2017 Association for Commuter Transportation Conference, where WeDriveU clients in apparel manufacturing and technology will present their company’s bike program success stories. The event takes place July 30 – August 2, 2017 in New Orleans.
