Passenger Care: Going the Extra Mile in Private Transit

Passenger Care: Going the Extra Mile in Private Transit

When you serve 400,000 employee rides a year for a client, every passenger counts.

Clayton Collins’ shuttle route for this employer is a shining example.

Leaving work one night, a client’s employee wasn’t sure where her car was parked behind one of the buildings on the company’s large campus. Rather than drop her off to search, WeDriveU bus driver Clayton Collins helped find her car and get safely on her way.

In an email, she said: “Instead of dropping me off, Clayton asked exactly where I was going, made sure I was safe (I wasn’t familiar with the area and it was getting dark), found the lot and my car, and made sure I was in my car before driving away. His dedication and care for my safety was much appreciated, and I want to make sure this feedback gets to him and his manager! We’re really lucky to have someone like him…”

A New Approach to Commute Alternatives

WeDriveU is a cornerstone in this employer’s Commute Alternatives program, serving an estimated 400,000 rides per year at workplaces in two states. In addition to Intercampus shuttles, WeDriveU operates Residential Bus Service for long-distance commuters, Last Mile shuttles to public transit and On-Demand service – all orchestrated by WeDriveU TDM Program Managers on-site at the client’s facilities. The employee shuttle program features a diverse WeDriveU fleet of 70+ vehicles, including electric buses and sedans.

Examples like these reflect how forward-thinking employers and strategic transportation partners are improving commutes by unifying private transit, public transit and ride-hailing in a single employer-sponsored program.

We always appreciate passengers taking the time to share their experience. Thank you! And job well done Clayton.
